OUr story

Our late father, Leon Demerdjian, "Pops", created his marinade in 1966 at his first restaurant in Chicago, Illinois. His marinade is a definitive legacy of soulful Armenian flavors made with wholesome ingredients. Over the years, his marinade has set the standard to be the perfect complement to not only chicken but shrimp, pork and many more dishes. After years of customer requests, Our Dad's Marinade was bottled and launched in 2010. Currently, Our Dad's Marinade is featured in several butcher shops and specialty stores in Chicago as well as Central Wisconsin.

Our Dad's is the perfect way to bring restaurant quality to any dish while still maintaining a home-cooked feel - just the way dad would have wanted it!

I tried Our Dads Meditterrean Marinade for the first time and I was blown away by how flavorful and juicy the chicken was! I let it marinade for a few hours and it really soaked into the meat and made for an absolutely delicious meal! Chicken Kabobs

Chicken Kabobs

Try this delicious recipe! Ingredients: 1 pound Chicken Breasts cut into 1 inch pieces Our Dad’s Chicago Marinade 2 White onions cut into 1 inch pieces 2 Green Peppers cut into 1 inch pieces 2 Tomatoes cut into 1 inch pieces Any other vegetable you would like to add to the kebab cut into 1 inch pieces Directions: Cut us as many chicken breasts as needed into 2” chunks.  Place in a large bowl and cover all of the chicken with enough marinade to coat each piece. Marinate chicken breasts for at least 2 hours. (Marinating overnight or longer is recommended for tastier results.)  Cut up 2 onions, 2 green peppers and 2 tomatoes into large pieces. (you can use vegetables for this –  mushrooms and any peppers would be good).  Get out your skewers and skewer the chicken, alternating the chicken with the different vegetables.  Grill the kebabs until cooked through and serve with rice or any side dish of choice.

Sauteed Chicken

Sauteed Chicken

Dice 2-3 chicken breasts into 1” pieces and place in small bowl with enough marinade to cover the chicken. Marinate chicken breasts for at least 2 hours. Marinating overnight or longer is recommended for tastier results. Cut up 1 medium size onion, 1 green pepper and 1 tomato. In a large saute pan, add 2 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp butter. Add diced chicken and onion and cook for 3 minutes. Add green pepper and tomato and cook until chicken is cooked through and vegetables are tender. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve with rice pilaf.
